This site is dedicated to the memory of Arthur White.
My father Arthur White served with the RNLI in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was a member of the Lifeboat crews at Tynemouth and Cromer, travelling mechanic on the East coast and finally part of the Humber lifeboat crew, our family living in the old Lifeboat cottages (now demolished) at Spurn Point.
Arthur had a long and very full life and was always close to the sea but nothing gave him or his family more pride or more fond memories than his service with the RNLI.
I hope this fund will not only remember Arthur but also help others to carry on the work of which he was justifiably so very proud.
